I also have back issues and use a seat insert from Relax The Back. That makes a huge difference.

Go to an antique truck show and try and get a ride in an old tandem with a 145 - 150 inch wheelbase.

Every concrete seam smacks you in the back...after 100 miles the bottom of your rib cage is sore

Oh Yeah, the seat was little more than plywood and foam; air seats cost money!

You know that little button like thing on top of a baseball cap?

It feels real nice when your head slams up into the overhead...

    1) I prefer sitting on the frame because I want a feel of what’s going on under me.
    2) I’m six foot eight tall.
    3) It looks cool.
    4) It triggers new breeders.
    5) Because I can.

I air mine up all the way after I get moving and set the cruise control. It's easier to put my foot up on the dash. Only lower the seat down when I need to reach the brake pedal.

Life is hard at 3 foot 5.

How bout we all not worry over how high (or low) someone's seat is, and we just do what's comfortable.

For the record, I ride with the seat all the way down, which is still plenty high. When you spend all night driving two lane roads (if you can call them roads) in PA coal country, you'd understand why the seat is on the floor. I tried the air thing a few times, and it just reminds me of a bad carnival ride.

For myself, I care not about looking cool for others. Because there is a big difference in looking cool, and being cool.

yes. I used to ride on the floor becuase of my drop visor. I love the drop visor becuase it keeps the sun out of my eyes. However, my back has been hurting so now i have a little air in my seat. I think soon i will invest in a low profile air seat so i can keep it low and have some air in it

    Concrete? What’s concrete?

Highways are all asphalt now for the new generation so none of them get offended about their sensitive hinies getting hurt.
