Pennsyltucky is still in love with concrete on the highways. They seem to love a concrete base with asphalt over top. Then in ten years when the concrete settles, they dig a hole at the expansion joint, pour new concrete about two inches higher than the rest of the road. Then they leave it that way for a winter, hoping a snowplow or two get ruined, so they can figure new equipment into the next year's budget.

Lots of concrete still being put down in the Midwest.

Al. Roper, Tall Mike and jamespmack Thank this.
  4. Like mentioned before, wallet comes out and into a cubby.

As for seat it all depends on which truck I'm in. My 387 like @Al. Roper just enough to keep me off the ground and not shot into the roof.
Others that I drove I had it on the ground to feel the truck what it was doing.

I have driven a bench seat teuck . Talk about a once in a lifetime time experience.

Oh wait. Cab over days would be close 2nd to bench seat.

jamespmack, Tall Mike and Al. Roper Thank this.

How high or low I ride depends on if it's a panties or no panties day

Way back the company owner was at a truck show/dinner/schmooze the customer function and Joe Cambria walks over and asks him if he liked the new Mack he had on display...He didn't like his answer...
"Well if you took out the air ride seat and power steering...I want my drivers to feel every bump the truck feels"...thankfully most owners like him have passed on....

My training ride at Matlack was an 81 R-600 with no A/C and arm-strong steering.....it was 9 years old at the time. only the sleepers had A/C and Power Steering

Years ago a chiropractor told me back pocket wallet is why American men have more back problems than any country. Always carry mine in the front pocket.
