I've started to apply through at least 3 websites for large companies today and every time I upload my resume, and then it still wants me to go through and input all of my 10 years of work history, school history etc. That's redundant and obnoxious as #### and a colossal waste of time. I'm thinking I may be better off printing a dozen resumes and walking in to these places. It may take a longer time over all but at least I'll be out and meeting people.

I think I did that w/Sysco, I'm finding some jobs that aren't posted on Indeed so I'm using the company's websites. Two jobs that I did apply to through Indeed then emailed me and asked me to fill out the same employment info on their own websites to complete the application.

It's been a while but told them I'm a truck driver...
    I don't have a resume, only experience.

Tenstreet is used by many of the mid sized to larger carriers. Fill it out once...can be resurrected in the future and updated. BTW.... the 10 years requirement is for people that have had at least one truck driving job in the last 10 years. Federal law. If you lie or omit.....they will find out. Welcome to 1984 on steroids!!! If you are a rookie.....most companies want 3 yrs employment history, or a notarized letter from a "non family member" verifying that you didn't spend the last 3 or 4 years in an Taliban training camp....... or work in the Trump Administration, or were within 500 miles of the Capitol building on January 6th. If you were in Seattle, Portland, or any other major city, burning, looting, "peacefully protesting"..... or at the very least...... " MOSTLY peacefully protesting", you should be fine.

The last job I worked was for a small company. I told the boss that I did not have 10 years of driving history. He said that I just had to list the trucking jobs.

I’ve gotten more inquiries than I can count on Indeed. It’s almost like they’re begging.

Many of them Crap jobs though.

Trucking companies Must Verify the last 10 years of Trucking jobs......it is a Federal requirement. Clearinghouse is now a requirement as well. Although...I still think you can cross into the United States from the southern border without Identification, a vaccine passport, a vaccine of any sort, get a plane or bus ticket, and go wherever you please within the lower 48. Just promise to show up for an asylum hearing in 6 months. Speaking or understanding english is optional. WELCOME TO AMERICA!!

I was an employer for 30 years and hired a number of people that walked in. If I wasn't hiring at that time and I liked them, I would save their info and call them when I was ready to hire. They usually ended up being my best workers. People willing to get off their butt and go knock on doors is the kind of employee that employers should be looking for.
