I guess I look at it different than most. I thought with a paid for truck or cheap payments. You’d work harder at getting ahead in life. It’s crazy that guys will say no to cheap freight if they owe on a truck. However Let it get paid off and all of a sudden it’s “I can get by at a $1.5 per mile. I want to negotiate harder if it’s going into my bank account.
How many of you idiots are running reefer for less than $2 a mile?

IDK if you have ever had to stear 5 or 7 years worth of hard payments.. So you do what ever you need to do to stay above water... that means less time at the house .. loads that make you earn every cent because due to numerous different reasons..
NOW MIND YOU ... this was done by your own choice .. nobody held a gun to your head making you sign the note on the truck & or trailer..
But you bust your nadds to get it paid off...
It's paid off your operating cost per mile is now lower.. and your tired.. and for the last X how every many years you pulled your Faire share of Sh...ty loads to pay for your equipment
I feel I've earned the right to pick & choose the loads Iam pulling at that point...
This is just my view point .. it's not a written rule in the O/O's hand book to successRideandrepair, jason6541, Another Canadian driver and 2 others Thank this. -
Loads are gone from the boards later in the day, meaning they did indeed book them.Rideandrepair, Another Canadian driver, JoeyJunk and 2 others Thank this. -
I believe people thinking because all equipment is paid for makes it “easier” to take a crap load for shat is just that... Bullshat! I can look in the mirror and say I didn’t get F’d in the rear end today by #### near working for free.

I see the same loads posted every day and have been watching them for years in my area. Nothing has changed. Sometimes it takes them a month to get them moved and it's always several hundred more than the posted rate.
Many of these loads come from places I'm direct with so I see the same load list from the same shipper as the brokers do. I can't speak for reefer but I know my area and much of the freight that leaves here very well.Rideandrepair, Another Canadian driver, JoeyJunk and 2 others Thank this. -
