How many of you OTR cross border guys will actually quit because of the mandates?

I myself was amd still am hesitant because of how rushed I feel this vaccine is and was, and more so how they pushed so hard for mandating a vaccine for an illness with such a low fatality rate. I mean the numbers are extremely low for healthy people.

As hesitant as I am I am also immune compromised and on immune suppressant drugs. My doctors have been on me lately about me being high risk and I should have already been vaccinated. So despite not being vaccinated or wanting to be vaccinated I am actually leaning towards getting it now due to the advice of my doctors. And in all honesty as much as I am annoyed with the vaccinated people the unvaxxed people have become just as annoying and to be honest are probably now even more so.

 

And yet you can't find the data...

 

I can respect that position.

I know there's many who never planned on it though and are using 'you're not going to tell me what to do' as a convenient reason.

Nobody is forced to get it. Not getting it just limits opportunities for a while.

Most mandates will likely be short lived. Mandates for intl. travel though I think will be around longer than most.

 

Yeah im pretty certain myself that the mandates won't last long, most likely won't even start the cross boarder one given how much trouble tye supply chain is already in. They can't afford to put the nail on the coffin themselves but again it's the government fear mongering trying to get as many people vaccinated as they can. It's just gotten way out of hand

 

They’ve already mandated people who cross the border have to show proof of vaccination it won’t be long before truck drivers will have to do the same. Canada is going to start letting in 400,000 potential new truck drivers a year and they will all be vaccinated

 

Except for the fact that the 5th circuit has already put a freeze on the mandate. Which our current "leaders" are encouraging companies to violate.
