If the book says it then it must be true. Years ago at Frito Lay we had a brand new Admin fresh out of college with a degree in Logistics who was determined to straighten out a bunch of truck drivers. We eventually nicknamed him “Scrappy” because with his Napoleons complex he wanted to “fight” every driver on anything slightly wrong. Eventually one of our better bosses told him “you aren’t going to break a bunch of crusty old drivers”. After he took that advice to heart he was a great guy to work for.
How many of your companies are struggling to find drivers?
