I am confused. Isn't the air lever on the front of the shift tower, the one that changed from low reverse and 1-5 to high reverse and 6-10, isn't that a splitter?

And by the way, not saying that instructor wasnt kind of jerky BUT it took me about 10 seconds of looking at Mcelroys website to see what kind of equipment and transmissions and engines they run. A tiny bit of research can go a long way when shopping for a company.

Also it is helpful to know that regarding the splitter button ( not the pre-select on the front ), Eaton uses a red button for the thirteen speed and a grey button for their eighteen transmissions. At least that's how they come from the factory. -
i find automatics more confusing than a standard---i tried to pull an auto out of the shop to get mine in--kinda ashamed but i finally got in reverse--but couldnt get it to go forward---after a while the shop foreman finally got it going forward and parked it---not sure if there was something wrong with the truck or not--the driver hadnt complained--and he left the next day in it---it was from a different terminal--and thankfully it stayed there

Oh ya, range selector.... Thanks,
Now I have to go back and delete my incorrect posts...
