I spend about $150 a week on mostly truck stop grub. Breakfast burrito for breakfast, subway or taco bell for lunch, and sometimes i put a can of soup on the turbo to warm it up and then eat it for dinner with crackers. Always keep canned food on the truck for the times you cant get someplace to eat.

I like the salads some of the Pilot's have. $2.99 for the side and a buck or two more for the bigger ones. The whole fruit is a fair price at the loves. $9 for soup and salad bar at the TA I like also.
If you pack all your own food PBJ and can goods. I don't use a fridge or any appliances. The cost to run truck to use doesn't really save money. I usually spend about $75 a week. More when I eat at the restaurants.

you may get to entertain yourself with a onboard savings account to be transferred or use later on or ?

unless you stick with a plastic card that wears out. plastic bags and receipts can act as an aid to read the card, then there's the chip in card which I don't have.

Smart move staying away from truckstops.I use to spend at least 50.00 on groceries. But it was whenever I stopped not just once a week.Word of advice, never go grocery shopping when you're hungry.

Man i love taco bell even though i eat it probably once every few months. Doritos nacho tacos mmm. Probably not something you should eat on the road without a bathroom easily at your disposal! Only solids will go in my #### bags lolll

I use the inverter and kettle too, I seldom get stranded where there's no restaurant but once- 2xs a month maybe I will. I buy the camp food from sporting good stores that only requires h2o, and add Canned chicken breast to spice it up. They cook inside the bag it comes in, so no dishes needed, just a plastic fork. Both items store for over a year.
The best thing about the electric kettle is I use it many times a week to heat water for a "shower". I bought a big plastic bin to stand in along with a garden sprayer with a hand wand and boom- instant bunk shower, I haven't gone a day without a shower or waited in line for one in almost 3 years.

Far as treating yourself to a pizza you said in your first post, you would be better off having a pizza delivered to your trk.

Taco bell, mc donalds, subway, arbys, and wendy's are the places most common at pilot, flying j, loves, and TA.

Yeah i figured that. Oh and Arbys another new fav of mine the ham and cheese sliders they have. You can get them for $1 from 2- 5pm and they are good size too. I usually get 3 of them and the $1 soda and eat in for the free refill. For $4 and change a meal that fills you up cant beat that.
