Other than maintenance I mean. I remembered to ask my insurance and they said insuring a trailer would cost me $50 extra. I guess the only thing I would need are plates/title for it and I'm done? Or are ther are hidden taxes and permits needed? I know the price of the tags varies by state but just wanted to get a rough idea on how much it would cost if I had my own trailer (minus maintainance costs). Thanks.
How much are the costs of owning a dry van?

New trailer - $620/mo
Insurance - $100/mo
Plates I can’t remember but not that much.
Sometimes people will damage your trailer too.
I’d just budget $1000/mo for your trailer and you’ll be good to go. That’s what I do.Rideandrepair and TruckRunner Thank this. -
I assume you included the cost of the trailer. I meant just the tags and any gubment licenses and permits I need to pay for. Sounds like it's just the plates and insurance is all that is needed?

Tags vary state to state, not usually more than a couple hundred tops for plates. Insurance varies wildly depending if you own it outright or making payments and what the stated value is or has to be to satisfy the lien holder.
Idk about trailer permits for a van, nowhere I run requires a special permit for it to run in any state.jamespmack, wore out, PE_T and 2 others Thank this. -
A couple hundred per year or one time payment once you buy the trailer?
