I think u being happy with the job is the biggest factor, me personally there is to much work involved to many hours worked and not compensated for ,, u could pay me 1million dollars and it still wouldnt be worth it if i hated truckin ... But i love it, ive gotton to the point i dont even care what my paycheck is anymore , just give me a truck n trailer send me far far away from wherever im at and ill be alright

Food service is ball breaking work but pays well. Sysco, McLane, etc pay great but it’s ball breaking work. My dad worked for a milk company unloading massive crates of milk. Payed well.

I also heard Millis guarantees $50,000 of you run the fleet average of miles. Think I saw it’s 115,000 miles a year.

I made 55k when I was 21 years old. I had 3 different jobs that year. I’m still at the 3rd company making only about 50k taking 2 months off a year not counting all the weekends we don’t work, and I sure as hell ain’t going anywhere. It’s not about the pay it’s your happiness and what fits you. I’m home every night and I take hunting season off, couldn’t ask for anything else.

Don't be too direct with the cop stuff, because it can get you banned.
I have been, a few times, because it hurts my head as well.

If you will notice, I did it in a more round about way in my first post in this thread.
I'm not sure anyone even got the hint, so...

Learn to be a bit more subtle about it, because everyone gets SO offended these days about any little thing.

Why did you get into trucking?

Money makes your life liveable, trucking makes your heart skip a beat.
