I been driving 19 months
Start out was slow first 2 months then inpproved
My first full yr $43,000
On track to make $53, 000 this yr
I make about $4500 a month
I average $1000 to $1250 a week some weeks upto $1550 this week $1300
Hometime weeks $400 to $500 for the 2days I work usually
I take 5days off a month all at once and stay out I run for a Walmart DC
OTR is different usually I made $750 to $1450 and averaged $950 wk most weeks but otr gotta deal with appointment times loading t imes unloading times it kills ur time sometimes
I am a hard runner Ill run my clock down to minutes then park if I can also have a good DM that helps me get loads when I didnt get anything I also run short runs to hope for a better freight area which usually helped -
@scarface2200, thanks for the info. I was a bit worried with all the negative info on here about Swift. but what your saying matches my expectations and what i have been told by a few close friends who work there already. You said your a hard runner, sounds like my style, hopefully I can be where you are in the short time you have. I start training next Monday in Phoenix.

My wife and I (team) are starting on June 10th out there in Phoenix! Looks like you'll be wrapping up as we get there, Snowd21!
Best of luck! -
Anyone else care to share their earnings per month and time of employment with swift trucking?

yeah I should be finished that day LOL
Thanks and Good luck to you as well. I would like to drive Team also, need to find a buddy from my hometown to team with eventually -
Good luck to you all just remember teams get the shaft ya its makes sense for couples but not u and w friend really unless u just want company with u
Pay is like $.42 split then you get paid every mile ur dispatch the truck moves but you only make $1200 a wk. I have made $1550 a wk several times a nd thats solo but I can see why couples do it -

Ya after a while u can be a mentor and make your base pay say its $.32 for everymile the truck moves while your teaming the last 4 weeks the downside is your trusting your life with someone else and the 1st week student has to drive 50hrs before teaming unless they have exp.
I thought about doing but im leaving in 3 months so ai decided it wasnt worth messing with you gotta take a clqss 2days with no pay
