Don't care much for it...never have. Still remember my first trip to Laredo in a big truck, windows down enjoying the drive. It's just something I've always preferred, and never ran the AC in a company truck until I had a cooler that only cooled to 40 degrees below ambient temps, so had to keep the truck below 80 to keep food from spoiling. Interior temps only got to 120 going down the road. Used to drive wreckers, and the boss saw me roll onto the yard with the windows down..."Doesn't the AC work on that truck?" "Don't know...haven't tried it." Even here at the house, I went 8 or 9 years without turning on the AC, even as a local driver home at night...'til the wife moved in. Had someone come out and service it before I'd turn it on because it had been so long. So, when I bought the truck and the AC wasn't working, I didn't care. When the air cooler needed replacing, I didn't put the condenser back in because it had a hole...then pulled the compressor, dryer, lines, and everything else AC related out from under the hood and knocked 40 pounds off my empty weight. Makes working on the truck that much easier, too, without all that crap under the hood.
How much can you do on a 30 min break?

Up north is typically cooler weather. If it gets too cold, I just close the windows. I still prefer the South, though. I can deal with heat a lot better than the cold. I dig out the thermals any time the temps are below 50.Oldironfan Thanks this. -
