    What are the recruiters saying?

This thread has taken on a life of it's own, must be a slow day here.

If you look around though you will find a lot of references to drivers making 30 to 35 k first year.

You'll also find a lot of guys with many years of experience in the 60 to 70 range.

Yes, being safe is the biggest thing you should be worried about.

Beyond that you should be thinking about what type of work you want to do. A CDL can mean many different things. Local, Regional, OTR, LTL, flatbed, fuel etc.

Then you can start looking at companies that would fit your needs.

    mje and Chase05 Thank this.

I think that you need to get together with Ghost Rider; he doesn't know how to read & you don't know how to think. Between the two of you, you could come up with almost a whole person. One caveat; you'll have to join the Psychic Friends Network to become a full-fledged member of 'Team Mindreader'.

    mje Thanks this.

This thread started out good until all the insults. Lets get back on track.

Just State how much you made in 2012 & if you want....the company you worked for.

Keep it useful for the all those trying to learn the industry. The fighting on this thread is a good example why the pay for drivers is going down & down. We can't get along. We're too busy insulting each other to teach all the new drivers the correct paths to take in this industry.

Pmracing, Mrcam216, peterd and 3 others Thank this.
