Thanks a lot. Why do you say stay away from Emerson though? Everyone here usually says "go for the smaller companies". Emerson is a 60 truck fleet that pays 39 CPM and is only regional. Bad miles there or something?

    mje Thanks this.

When Emerson was an old outlaw company ran by Dave Shoefo's Father,it was an excellent place to work. Now his son Dave took over and hired this DO-GOODER safty guy..He did alot of damage and he has been fired..

It is so bad over there that Dave the owner has a radio ad.Many off the veterans of 20+ years have left and moved on.I new many of the drivers when i would see them down in NYC everyday..We all stopped and had coffee. They are all gone know..STAY AWAY FROM THEM...

Are you a new driver or do you have EXP.?

Just a student. Graduating in september (18 week course...). Emerson came by my school though, so they must hire students. Their advertised CPM is great, but I figure if I go with a company like them I'll only get a week of actual training and most people tell me I'll need/want more than that.
