Loading pumpkins on a raw deal. I was told 32-35000lbs would be loaded. I'm getting 56 bins and I think I'm getting way more weight than that double stacked.

They go in the same cartons ( Gaylords ) as watermelons, typically 700 pounds. Be careful lest you wind up on the melon thread lol.

700lbs sounds about right. This is a mess in the trailer with the lift coming out of the field. Doing furniture next. Guess I'll need a washout.

Gave the fellow on the other end the option to take delivery today or first thing tomorrow. He says let me confer with my labor. Calls me back and says lets do it today.

I get there and the labor is two 70+ year olds. Guess who pulled all the pallets to the end of the trailer.

You needed the exercise anyway. What did you gross at? 28 pallet positions in a 53, so that counts for the 56 cartons. What did the load weigh?

800 pounds per bin (with 56 bins) would be a load of around 45k.
