I got fined $150.00 once for passing the station in I35 just north of OKC. I had all of ten seconds notice and drive by the sign/entrance as it was flipped from closed to open.
They chased me down, and claimed I blatantly ignored the sign. I guess I could have jackknifed the truck to get in the station, but my deductible is higher.Big_D409 Thanks this. -
Was $180 in WA about 5 years ago.... "failure to obey traffic sign/signal."

195$ state cost plus 165$ additional fees plus you will probally be subject to a level 1 inspection which they will find whatever reason you ran the scale and my employer will instantly fire you not a good idea
mje Thanks this. -
You'll have to pay the piper at some point if you practice this. For some drivers it's worth it.

Got tagged at the Armington Junction scale in Montana for bypassing. Didn't see the open sign, and the coop lights were off, but oh well. I screwed up to the tune of $235 for it.
They told me they were open 24/7, but have gone through at times and the sign says "closed", but I pull in and around just to be safe. Don't need another one of those tickets. -
dont know...never got caught
not4hire, truckon, allniter and 1 other person Thank this.
