Hi,
I was just wanted to hear the experiences from drivers who had been pulled over and either didn't have their logs or had incomplete logs. Can you tell me what happened? Did an officer give you get a ticket? How much was the ticket for? Where did it happen? How much do these tickets generally cost?
<3 Rachel

I had a Level II and I'd neglected to do the weekly recap on one of my logs. He told me to fill it out, and it was annotated on the inspection report, but no citation was issued for it.

Depends on the state. -
I had one in La that cost me $250 in addition to OOS.THEY MAILED the ticket to me. anyway,i was not current. that was the last one I've received and it was a couple of years ago.
another driver just recently got a no seat belt and an OOS due to not current with logs;he also had not done a pti, forget how they worded the ticket.Total in Ga. was $600 per that driver, just last month.he pulls for the same guy i do except he is a day cab.ouch. pulled over for 46 in a 45 but they saw he was not wearing a seatbelt and pulled him over.
the moral here is if you aren't going to keep current logs at least wear your seatbelt.paul_4lp Thanks this. -
Behind on logs in Cal will get you shut down for 10 hours

Yeah.. you know it is worth the time and effort to just keep up with your logs... before I came to werner, I was with a company that used paper logs... if I knew I was coming up to a state border and scales, I would pull off at a rest area if my logs were nm ot current...
but honestly, it is nust so much easier to keep them up and roll worry freeblairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Behind on logs will get you shut down in ANY state if the officer wants.
Had one of our drivers get checked in an Oklahoma scale last summer. Was behind by 6 hours. $400 and OOS
Another driver was missing his logs for the previous day and was OOS plus $650 in OH about a year ago.
Our entire fleet has converted to EOBRs, so we don't see this kind of thing anymore. -
