How much is an apu?My My portable AC and Gen setup

The THING, about apu’s... my experience with tripac was an expensive one... I can practically replace my whole spilt a/c with new, for the price of what I’ve paid in years past for Thermoking to replace an alternator or an a/c compressor...

My tripac never could cool the truck down like my little split a/c can. One those really warm, Nevada/ Arizona days, I had to close the curtains and sit under the vents and hope the tripac didn’t overheat just to get a glimpse of cooling down...

The split a/c is a little powerhouse. It blows cold, on demand. It was crazy to me that when I go outside and come back in, I can feel the cold when I OPEN the door.... good luck

 

what generator you use for split a/c? how many btu is your split a/c ?

 

I use a Honda 3000EU , and the split a/c is 9k cooling 9500 btu heat...

 

What model split do you have? I have an 8,000 BTU window ac rigged up but I’d like to go with a split to get rid of this shelf I built. I use the side windows in the sleeper for intake/exhaust. It works good except for the hottest of days.

 

I have the brand sharkaire. I was recommended by another driver, his has held up over 2 + years now...

 

I have seen a truck with two Noria a/c units installed. Kapsul
