We have somewhere around 160 -170 drivers at my terminal now and I'm in the 60's so yeah - I have quite a bit.
How much money can you make being a line haul driver?

the drivers here earn around $1000 a night, more if b-double, so around 1400 a night.
Most now just swap trailers at the half way mark, and so they are home every morning.
As most leave around 7-9pm... they dont get back till 4-9 (depending on traffic, and how much rest they take).. but yer, the guys ive spoken to at some depots, go out.. monday, tuesday, wed, thurs, fri... so 5 nights a week..
The load they grab on friday, either goes to their depo, or if its urgent, goes to the correct depot on sat. -
City slickers.. I'll tell ya..cc tanker Thanks this. -
It all depends on what company you work for. I got hired at SAIA in 2011 of May and 18mths. I made top pay .55cpm Not bad to work nights, off weekends, good benefits and also holiday pay. 2400 some odd miles and still get 70plus a year salary. I'm blessed.
