If run as a true business by an experienced driver, it's safe to say a lot more than a company driver that's for #### sure.

You'd probably be better off asking this in the o/o forum.

.75 to .90 cents per mile is what I end up making after all expenses for the year. Depending on what were the expenses that year like did you have a truck payment or major repair. I also am not on a mileage contract so it depends on what freight is paying that year.

Depends on what rates you are getting. Ranges anywhere between $1.00-3.00 sometimes more if you do LTL.

I'm not an owner myself but my friends and relatives that do own their own rigs have told me they usually average about $1.80. Seems to be a ballpark figure. Multiply that by how many miles you think a reasonable average is. That would be your gross. Your operating cost can be just about anything depending on whether or not you financed a truck or paid cash, whether you are getting 4 mpg or 8, you know what I mean. Ballpark figure for fuel cost per mile is anywhere between .40 and .70 per mile. Some people get discounts on fuel, some pay full price. It all depends on this stuff. Add to that the buttload of taxes, permits, fees, etc.

Bottom line is, you should be clearing at least 60 cpm after expenses otherwise you are wasting your time. That's my personal opinion.
