How much money do Tri Axle dump trucks make?

Reasons why I didn’t even bother putting a wet kit on this truck. $85 an hour for a Tri axle and about $100 for a trailer (77k and 99k in mass)

And that’s “good” summer work, winter work hauling salt is even less, the only way you make money with dumps is if you have the equipment to go with them

 

Are there major projects there? If so maybe I can buys some dump trucks and hire drivers but operate from California.

 

Interesting you say that. Why do you say that? How much do you expect to make? I take 5 months off a year and make 150k a year. With a 2002 pete. No payments and do all work including major if any. You must be used to hauling cocaine from Miami to jersey by the sounds of it

I expect to make at least 90-110 an hour.

 

Rates haven’t changed in many years. I agree that’s where they should be but it’s not gonna happen. Too competitive. Some guys are getting away with 90 however

 

I was trying to open a dump truck company with like 5 dumps. But low rates won’t allow me to be successful

 

So 85 an hour is peanuts but $90 an hour is filet minion... got it.

State work is where it's at.
