Next you'll be wasting money on washing clothes and NEW paper towels.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

I steal napkins actually. And it does chafe my hide when the fuel island has no paper towels. I wear the same underwear until my balls get fungus and my feet itch, so there's some savings there.TruckRunner, Scream'n Hauler and tscottme Thank this.

My last 2 years my only bill was my cell phone and a storage building. I paid my car insurance every 6 months and my car taxes every year when I registered it. I lived in my truck. I always ate a good filling breakfast and dinner. Lunch was maybe a sandwich. I did not buy crap in the truck stops and I sometime did without things. I sometimes wore shoes until they developed holes. To me a pair of jeans was just getting broke in good when they got a bit thread bare. I was able to save over half of my pay. Today I'm retired living off those savings and investments.
tax, spyder7723, Gatordude and 1 other person Thank this. -
I've never understood people who say they can/do spend only $100 a week on the road. If all you do is eat one sit down meal a day. That's over $100driverdriver Thanks this.

No way. $100 week is easily doable. That's my road splurge budget.

That is a valid point. I get 10X points at J or Pilot. I forgot about that cause I haven't paid for coffee or bags of ice in forever.Scream'n Hauler Thanks this.

Lol, yesterday I saw this guy at the counter with a box of pizza, a dozen donuts, a couple bags of chips and countless candy bars. He was very big! And when he got away from the counter he actually left so much sweat on the counter the lady had to get some towels to wipe it down. I felt sorry for that guy watching him climb into his truck 'which was parked right outside' he pry spent 30 sec climbing in and getting set down. I just hope i never get that way. If i do somebody beat me up!bryan21384 Thanks this.

My weekly truck budget is $75, and that includes groceries and eating out. I usually have $25-30 left over.
bryan21384 Thanks this.
