    All royals are supported by tax payer dollars...or pounds. Actually both, since Canada sends some of its tax revenue to jolly old England.

    i see no need for the monarchy. they have no ruling powers if i recall.

    i see no need for such high allowances that are paid by the tax payers.

    i'm sure the queen mum and her family can live quite well in a trailer park, on maybe $100,000 each, a year tops..

    There are certain costs in Canada associated with the monarchy and occasional, irregular gifts, but no, Canada does not send tax revenue.
