I roughly estimate that on average, owner operators with their authority pulling a dry van - the least lucrative device - for at least 100 00 miles in this year should not be that far off from gross grossing in 270 000-300 000 range. As a rule of thumb, you take half of it for expenses, so it should be an average up to $150 000 net - now it is up to them to decide what portion of it is their take home and what stays in the business liquid assets or what goes for reinvestment.
Those who say they are muuuuuuch better than that, are exceptional and elite, they are astronauts and not everybody can be like them. But an average Joe the Owner has been capable to accomplish what was stated above in an exceptionally good year of 2021.
How much money have you been taking home lately?

Hopefully the good times continue to roll for at least another few months. I am eating lobster on a hamburger helper education and don't want to go back quite yet.
Midwest Trucker, Vitkouski and TallJoe Thank this. -
I hope so too. I want to buy Honda Goldwing or some comfy Harley and take a long around the country tour on it but in order to do so
1st. I need to learn how to run a motorcycle takes time
2nd The tour will take some time and money.
3. When I am done with the tour, I'd like to buy me a boat and sail out on it to Cuba. Like Hemingway be fishing and hunting. Live on that boat up to a year.
4. Come back and drive some more... -
Couple of good loads played out. Almost like summer rates, may be because of Christmas. IDK. I'll be at $13.2k Wednesday morning as long as there are no major hiccups. I left Thursday evening.
