With Schneider, Gross 43,288.00 , first 12 months.

The last 4 months was dedicated which actually lowered the numbers a little bit !!

But I worked for it, and in my opinion, it was NOT worth it. YMMV.......

Driving wages must be different for Canadian drivers. My first 12 months of driving I made about $55k, and that was with weekends off every week, and 3 weeks off for vacation. I usually make about $62-65k a year, with most weekends off, and usually a good month off during the year.

How sad. You must work for one of the bad trucking companies. They are everywhere. You could do yourself a favor by dropping your "best post ever" sig. That comment is exactly why these drivers are where they are today. Pathetic!

His signature is from a post by a union hating dude in the union non-union forum that contradicts himself with every other post. I kinda like the signature.. The driver you're quoting also quit the crap company in an attempt to better his career - nothing wrong with that if you ask me..

figure you'll drive between 100,000 and 125,000 miles your first year. Multiply that by the rate the company is paying you and that will give you some idea.

-About $25,500 in 1975 that was at .17 CPM including a bonus at the end of the year for Christmas.
-School? None except for each class the US Army made you take to drive each vehicle they had except for tracked equipment! That was jeeps all the way to the AM General tri axle with box and low boy trailers. And I was Signal Corps! Duty Company came up every 4 weeks at Ft. Gordon so we had to drive a lot of different equipment including the 60 passenger bus! The drunk runs were always a blast!
-Little one out of Atlanta untill the old man died called Gammondas Carthage.
-Loved that crazy greek and his wife! Man cared about his 10 drivers, his equipment, his adopted country, his wife and they loved to cook for his crew! OZO I had to choke down but it sure had a kick!
