How much of an edge does a squeaky clean record give a new driver?

Not as much as your ego would think. There are way too many applications to go through. The first dozen or so are looked at. If you ain't in that first dozen, do not expect to be called.

After a while, all those applications get canned.

you're more quick to get hired with a clean record.Some it takes days.Far as mileage or special treatment,highly unlikely.You're just a number with bigger companies.
