How much room from dock to front wall

Oh I've been in a bunch of places like that. Especially in the northeast. From much less than a truck length in front to having to jack it 45 to 90 to the trailer to keep the tractor out of the street. I'm in a cascadia too. Some places can be tight to say the least lol

 

Sounds like you did a fine job of getting it in a tight spot. It doesn't have to be pretty. As long as you don't hit anything, it was a good day.

 

Kinda sounds like you were delivering mail in Detroit. Lol

 

A lot of these older places weren't designed for 53' trailers, you did it! That is all that matters!, less stress next time I promise!!

 

Yep it does get easier that's for sure. Each one like that you nail whether you spend 30 minutes walking it in straight or pulling up to get the right angle so it's on the dock square they're all enormous confidence builders.

Main in thing is take your time, get out and look many times as you have to and don't get in a hurry or impatient.

 

ya man happened to me last week. i had to back it in from the street. i hit the dock but it wasnt straight. after 45 min i jack knifed it in and it was straight. i was so pissed because after all that. a guy....no wait 2 guys with sleepers blind sided it in and hit the dock with no problem. wtf man. i wanted to throw the keys to central and say screw this. but man i like the job now. so cant just run away

 

There is a grocery store in wildwood nj has to be on a 42ft trailer and a day cab the truck is at 90 degrees to trailer once in dock if not at 90 degrees truck will be in the marsh

 

But like I tell everyone no matter how long it takes as long as you don't hit nothing nothing or no one you did a great job
