    whatever your company pays you?

that could be $10, $20 per hour or nothing at all.....claiming that it is "part of the customer service we provide"...

Allow me to rephrase the question for you
what is the average hourly pay for a driver who unloads freight either by breaking it down or using a pallet jack

again, let me rephrase that for you.....whatever the company pays you or not pay you. there is NO average.

i do not get paid to unload, and reload, it's part of my salary.

other companies i worked for, i was told, "we do not pay any extra, it's part of our service"

other companies pay $10, $20 per hour.

driverdriver, tscottme and Puppage Thank this.

If you're paid by the hour, you're paid by the hour. If you're paid a different way then......

I believe that if you are lumping freight you are a lumper, not a driver. I strongly encourage you to seek employment with another company if you are having to do that kind of work.

RedRover, Tb0n3 and buddyd157 Thank this.

You’re only going to get paid what your company pays you for doing that.
Are you going to show your dispatcher the post that says you should get $20 an hour?
It looks like you’re a fairly new driver so just get some experience and find a job that’s a good fit for you.

    buddyd157 Thanks this.

Do you want .60 per mile and that covers everything including being a problem solver? Or would you rather . 40 and 10 bucks to scale, 5 bucks to fuel, 15 per hour on the dock, 50 for clean inspection... yada yada yada

And I should add to this that if money is what is driving you, have your wife get a second job.

    hagarcobra and buddyd157 Thank this.
