    Japan:
It's actually considered impolite to leave a tip in Japan. The Japanese believe that good service is simply part of a traditional way of life, and any gratuity is likely to be politely refused.

Same in China, but the article doesn't show that.
I've left tips at restaurants and the waitress won't accept it. Once she ran outside and yelled at me to let her return the tip.

    China:
In China and other countries in East Asia, including Myanmar and Singapore, tipping is seen as unnecessary. But there's nothing wrong with leaving a small tip for service workers.

Meanwhile the drive thru workers here want a tip and all they did was hand you a bag out the window.

I carry a wad of one-yuan notes and give a couple of them if they get grouchy about not offering a tip. They get excited and ask how much it's worth and can they spend it here in the USA. I tell them it's worth a lot, but have to take it to the bank to convert it to US Dollars.
    Here's how much it's worth: USD/CNY = 0.1394995
I don't do that to good waitresses; in fact I usually overtip them.

Sometimes I'll give them a 50 yuan note:
    50 Chinese Yuan = 6.98 US Dollar

Don’t you know about the new rules? They’re entitled to a day’s pay just for being human enough to show up, let alone for actually doing anything while there.

I usually avoid fast food places.
Few months ago went to Chic a Filet and the chicken meat was green and blue.
Threw it in the trash and walked out.
Yesterday, made the mistake of stopping at an Arby's for a take out double cheeseburger.
Got home and bit into it, and spit it out. The meat was raw. Just a little brown on the outside, but scratch that way with a fingernail and the meat was red. I'll never go there again either.

You're not wrong. Even just showing up on time will put you in the top 25% of employees lol.
