How much space is required between back of sleeper and headache rack?

    yall keep talking about the space need for the cab, with the air ride bags being deflated. but i dont think i have ever seen my bags deflated... so how do you know?

    Let the air out of the bags. Someday you will have a leak and you want the clearance.

    how does one go about doing that? never worked on an airbag before

    Well you could let it sit for a month without running. You could pull a line off one of the airbags for the cab which isn't hard. You could unhook the adjustable rod on the leveling valve for the cab and hold up on the arm till all air exhausts. You could pump ALL air out of truck with brake pedal and then use something like a jack or long bar and lift up on back of cab for 5-10 minutes and let the leveling valve let the air out. And my least favorite is poke a hole in one of the airbags. LOL

    Most of these suggestions must be done with no air in the truck or they will just refill.

    Just make sure you have a good grip on it, or it's secured with zip ties. When putting together my truck, I did that and got my ### handed to me by that 1/4" hose. I don't know how many times it whipped me in the face, but it only took once to learn the lesson lol.
