Swift locals get $14/hr on a 60 hour work week. No time and a half.

Some local drivers do get paid by the mile, the shuttle drivers out of Lancaster for example get paid for approximately 500 miles a day (depending on which lane they run) and are home every night. Some work 6 on off 2, others work Mon - Fri with weekends off.

All that responsibility for $14 an hour? Temps make that, and they sit on their ### all day (so do we) but we are subject to millions of dollars in liability for freight, loss of life, for 14$ an hour ?

if truck drivers would refuse to work for it, the pay would go up! it will never go up if there's a massive amount of drivers constantly entering the trucking industry willing to work for peanuts.
