Depends on how you are getting paid. If Mileage than pay your driver by the mile. If percentage than pay your driver by percentage.
-
the company we r leased to pays the truck 90% how much would u pay the driver. The driveer seid last compay he worked for payed 26% but that sounded a little hight to me. Couse when i worked for as a company driver 5 years ago i made 21%. So i would like to know what the going rate is.

26% seems on the low side. -
like i seid it has been 5 years sence i drove company truck. I have asked around and the highest i have found was 23%. I just wont to do him right. Dont wont to short change any one on pay.
-
I used to pay my drivers 20% to start. 22% after 90 days. up to 25% after 6 months.
-
i get 25% of the gross right now
ive also worked for 30% of the net -
i have an interveiw with hime tommorrow. I will talk to the driver. I may start him at 23%. And bump it up to 25% after 90 days.

I applaude you wanting to do right by your driver, but you don't want to pay him so much that it hurts your business.
You have to look at the big picture also. -
