I actually think this will be a great thing. Too many companies out there violating the HOS and working the drivers like slaves. The question will be this: Will the Elog system be "audit enabled" or will the logs go straight to the DOT everyday?

In the event of a bad wreck the courts and DA will go back and subpoena all records.If they look and see that there was as much as 1 violation 6 months ago,the DA will take that and run with it.
This will state his case of a highway killer on the road...He will go on a relentless assault of the company and the driver.And it will all be there in plain black and white.
This IMO will backfire...No Paper trail is the best trail in todays SUE HAPPY USA.. -

But with today's technology I'm sure there will be a day when the DOT will have instant access to red flags. Kind of like them red light cameras where the ticket is issued automatically.
