How often do you grease the entire truck

BigRod...no insult intended. SORRY. Business is a tough mistress. Unforgiving at least. Going into any endeavor without full BASIC knowledge puts the owner at a disadvantage at minimum
No jam up intended. I have, in my experience, seen so many very nice, intelligent folks fall flat on their face/Butts due to lack of basic knowledge of what it takes to know intimately the workings of the business.

Good luck, grease the snot out it.

    Regards

Grease zerks. They will be in the u-joints there at each end of your drive shafts. The shaft between the rear axles.
Each of your slack adjusters and your s-cam tubes and around the end by your axle ends.
Look everywhere you have two pieces of metal rubbing each other.
Inside your bell housing the clutch has a fitting. Some transmissions have one on the clutch rod arm on the side of housing. May be on towards the top.

Up near front axle. Each end of your springs. The steering box. The drag line. Tie rod ends. King pins top and bottom. The slack adjusters.

Steering shaft going into your cab. Look everywhere. I'm sure I missed a couple.

Any EP grease is better than none
Extreme Pressure grease like most know. A little every week is better than a lot every month.

When your pumping in the grease, you can see old pushed out. You put new in until you see fresh grease and absolutely no water. After a few times you'll know when is enough.

Some u-joints have sealed bearings, they don't need greased.
    Good luck.

Wipe the zerk with a clean rag before you attach grease gun so you don't push the dirt into the fitting.

Personally I think greasing your truck every 5k miles is not necessary, but in the same time won’t hurt anything if done so. I grease my truck every 15k. Truck has 1.1 milion miles, still original king pins.

    NightWind Thanks this.

Once a month or 5000ish miles, if I go to 6k I don’t sweat it, just did king pins and cross tubes at 2.3 million this year and the last few original U joints around the same time IIRC

dang I grease the front end every week and the rest every other. and I only run about 1200 miles a week.
But I'm also in what may be extreme conditions

Everything every week or every 2500 miles. Never if I have a teflon pad as that defeats the purpose of having one.I do however grease the pivot points on the 5th wheel.

Reading some of these replies makes me understand why most of the used trucks for sale are worn smooth out.

Yep. Plus you see all the little things before they become problems if you're under the truck every weekend with a grease gun.
