How often do you grind gears.... Realistically

    Never. I still occasionally forget I pre selected a split on my 13 spd. The fix has been not pre selecting till it’s time.

    When I'm tired from a long day.
    Start pushing the clutch pedal in too far and I think it engages the clutch brake.
    Depends on the truck.
    Anyways, the whole spinny spinny in the tranny slows down and messes up the synchronicity.

    I personally think some transmissions are easier than others to shift without grinding. I have been driving for over 4 years and I scratch gears quite a bit yet. To believe there’s super truckers that never even scratch is too much for me to believe. Now that loud harsh grinding shouldn’t happen.
