How often do you retread your tires?

I get it that if done properly at reputable tire shop, then taken care of by means of checking pressure every day, recaps can be a great money saver or some of you say so. For one truck owner tough, you should consider time for them to be processed and also what would the truck be sitting on while the tires are in the tire shop being recapped? I don't keep a set of 4 old beat up tires in my tidy but small garage and I don't have a pick up truck either.
Even if I wanted to do recaps, the only option for me is to buy new.

Yeah it takes buying two new sets before you can cap your own. My local tire guy comes to me.

Also hExit 48 on I-81 in NY there is a tire shop that retreads on site......Long Park Tire. I think they will do them while you wait. Not sure about X-ray though

Only place I use retread is on my lift axle. Even that makes me cringe. If they come apart, it’s gonna take out my battery box on one side or my nice tool box on the other side.
