How often OTR drivers use cruise control?

    Been driving long son? Hopefully you never have to learn why manual transmissions are safer than automatics ; when driving on snow covered mountain grade for instance. Cruise control ? 10 percent of the time probably. Why? Safety and also I don’t look good in pajama bottoms and a sandal clad foot resting up on the dash of a white Volvo.

    I use it anytime I'm in light traffic and out on the open road.

    Over the course of a year, about 50 percent of the time. Obviously in the winter months you need more control of the truck so not as much cruise control..
