If you are runnin through a lot of traffic like Chicago ? How often do you need regen or parked regen?

My 2016 cascadia requires manual regen every 700 - 800 kms.
Driving is local / occasionally 30-40 min run on hyway. I dont do idle .
Can you help me figure out what could be the problem?
I bought this truck used at 226k miles odo.. dpf filter was replaced 2020.i feel like the truck isn’t doing passive regen.

QUOTE="snowwy, post: 9516979, member: 30838"]If idle. The engine light will come on at 9 hours. Shut the truck down at 9.50 hours. IIRC.
You'll have to do a regen. Takes 45 minutes.
If idle after that. Plan on 5 hours for the second round. And I think it was close to 90 minutes for the second regen.
Been down that road a few times waiting in Cali for a load out. 12 and 16 models.
-

4 regens in 2000 miles and city driving. You might not be driving long enough on the highway to do a passive regen. I’d have it checked out with a scanner and see what’s going on.

It was a once a year maintenance thing for me. One box lasted 700k miles with the original filters. Then again I had a 2013. His 2016 might be different.
