    I'm 45 years old. I currently work as an electronics technician but the job is getting pretty stale and I would like to do something different. I'm fat and out of shape but can certainly pass a drug test. I found a local CDL school that looks good and I can pay out of pocket for it.

    Can you get into the seat and still turn the wheel? Your not too fat. Do you still have a pulse or at least can pass the medical exam? Your not too old.

    Welcome to trucking. Long as you have a pulse, arent a drug addict, and can physically fit in the rig, they will take ANYONE. Biggest challenge is finding a job atm something @Chinatown can help with

    Too fat is when you cant pull yourself up into the cab,,thats when you start using the stairs to board your bus

    How many hours is the cdl school?
    Get all the endorsements before graduating. Those endorsements are money in the bank and will also give you many more choices of companies to choose from.
