How old is too old to be driving?

Actually statistically that's about 3yrs from death.

Statistically the average American male lifespan is 78 and truckers have a 10 year shorter lifespan which would be 68.

Many years ago getting to a million miles was a big deal. After that you get the second and possibly a third.

your grandmother has focus that trip to the store must make her feel a sense of normalcy . Blessings on you and your family because dealing with declining mental capabilities in our loved ones is probably the hardest thing to deal with.
