I work with Saddlesore but he's far to ornery to ever get old.

No, I'm not with Landstar. I have my own authority but I know tons of people leased onto them. Landstar has the most freight out of anyone out there. You are truly on your own with picking your own loads. You can stay at home and screw off for 6 months and nobody will care. They may call to make sure you didn't die, that's about it.

Getting into trucking and being on your own can be very expensive as most newbies on here have discovered. With Landstar there is no huge insurance payment up front or anything else. You are as close to being totally independent with them as your going to get.

Well I'm glad it's going good. As for mine, well sat all week at the end of the runway, nothing. So back home for the weekend and going to try again on Tuesday. I sat there and watched a set of 650's go out and another going Monday on the old trailer. On a good note though I'm taking your favorite pilot with me when we finally go.

    For everyone else, Bertha-

And didn't you just take a boat to Houston? Did you ride the left all the way with your right indicator blinking?

Only took us about 7 hours then saddlesore spent a few more hours adjusting it once he got rolling. When doing it alone it's a 10+ hour job.
