I am not trying to pick a fight here, but how have you driven 5 years and still think there were more than a small handful of honest people left in this country, lol? Just teasing you bud.

    SheepDog Thanks this.
  4. Most new Dr. Who give a physical on the west coast. Are using the study of. Patient has a neck 17" or larger needs to be tested for sleep apnea. That will cost the driver any where from $300. To $2500. For sleep study. One of my future drivers wet to a big Dr. For a physical and ran into this. No medical card till cleared of sleep apnea. So he is on hold.

How is this legal? There are no FMCSA requirements on this... I would just go to a different Dr. unless it is a CA thing?

I myself have had to overcome being overweight and obese. I have nothing against an individual who weighs 400 pounds plus.

However, if that individual cannot move around enough to do his or her job, along with being a serious heart attack and stroke risk, then that individual needs to be TEMPORARILY taken out of his or her driving job until the weight comes way down to much healthier levels. That 400 pound plus too much of a risk to be out on the road.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

  7. Just your wonderful government telling us what we need. Since we seem to be ignorant overweight heavy footed, speed Demons killing innocent people. Needing . Electronic log tracking and mandatory breaks cause we know no better .

The problem with the BMI Chart (measurement), is it was factored in the 1950's when everyone considered "normal" was 5' 7" and 145 lbs.----we have evolved to a larger body (both height and weight), so even those in great shape now-a-days are considered "obese". The system doesn't fit the times.

BMI is off topic tho, lol. Yesterday I saw in person 2 drivers that I was tempted to follow to see how they actually squeezed into their seat in a truck. What happens when they're at a shipper that requires them to make sure the trailer is clean? Checking the 5th wheel jaws? I was threatened to be sent home during my physical at orientation because the doc thought she saw my jacket brush the table during the duck walk exercise. I just don't know how you can bypass all that when you're 500 lbs.
