And they had a nickname for those FW-190s: "Butcher Bird" . With its armament and a well seasoned Luftwaffe pilot those planes were lethal machines.

    No,
But I'd like to think that the fascist regime that he and so many others were fighting to destroy hasn't been reintroduced to our great country 'over here'.

Im inclined to go wtih Patty and Ethos Kao.

If you cannot adequately participate in a conservationist and spout simplistic non contributory ideas that have no malnutrition value to anyone then it;s best you find something else. Like a Knitting forum or something. That might help you tie concepts together long enough to present a strong position when people give you a hard time.

Not that often but if I felt I had the grounds to do it or if i could come up with a good enough excuse I would. All in all I probably refused to haul 5 or 6 loads in the 3+ years I was a company driver. What would they do, fire me? Lol

One time it was some snooty after hours guy that would get mouthy because I refused to pull a trailer with multiple tires that had steel cords exposed. I already was pissed about the load because it sent me back into New England yet again. So I was looking for a reason to refuse it and I found the outs. Of course the guy wanted me to drive the trailer to a tire shop 50 miles away because they wouldn't send roadside out so I told him off and said I was going to sleep.

Got a call from someone else about 2 hours later from some lady basically begging me to help them out. Some driver broke down and they needed a critical load to be dropped at Costco on Long Island. So since she asked nice and also threw in $50 on top of NYC pay plus short haul rate pay I accepted. So instead of getting that crappy load to Boston that would have paid like $120 for 300 miles I got about $180 for driving 150 miles, 60 of which were bobtail lol

So yeah if you let them push you around they'll do it every time. Of course if you're constantly #####ing all the time they won't put up with you. But if you pick your spots here and there of course you can refuse loads.

Yes you can, just need the right reasons.

They report on each others back, so be careful talking to any one.

The easiest reason/excuse is "I don't feel good, i feel it's "unsafe" for me to drive in this condition"
