How soon must you use your new CDL? Is 5 years to long before driving?

I believe you have a good chance of getting one of those oilfield jobs with out a refresher or training. You just hit on one of the exceptions to the rule. Sorry I didn't think to mention this. I think you should give this a whirl if you are interested in that type of work. Good luck.

I hope your right about being able to work up there, because I am going to move there so I can start earning immediately. When I land back in the states, I will renew my license in RI, probably have to re-take my hazmat test, then try my luck up there in N Dakota. The snow and weather is not what bothers me, it's trying to find a place to live w/my wife and son. I do not want to move up there and be alone with just money to keep me warm at night, doesn't sound like a nice life at all. Thank you for the advice, if I can't drive up there, I guess I could always find a job there - from what I've read it's pretty busy...

    BigJohn54 Thanks this.
