I'm a local guy, but constantly cover a couple Walmart's and Sam's Clubs. Typically If I'm delivering to either one then something has already gone wrong. Funny how any times I've had a receiver with a God complex ( I know, they all have that problem) pull the "Well, your late so I don't think I can receive you" crap. For which my standard response is "No problem, I've got other customers that want to make money, I'll deliver to them" as I start walking out. Funny, I've NEVER left with my load! I'm all about being on time, and I understand that the appt's help everybody move along in theory but all that aside, Walmart likes to bust balls, even when your "late" yet alone at the dock. No need for that crap. Granted, OTR guys have come too far to be a douche to them like I do, don't worry OTR guys, I'll snap them back to reality for ya! LOL! Stupid Walmart.

Aldis is one of those places that is location specific--Some r very strict some don't care&some r a downright free for all--Just like some let u in overnight--some certain time early---Really no rhyme or reason to any of them---The ONLY thing they ALL have in common Is they ALL forgot to order Lightsfor the lot---@ nite you might as well be wearing a welding hood--lol

What if they say, ok bye? I mean. Let's imagine, this thing happened. You said- I am going to another place. Let's say there was a jerk, and he said- go ahead. Than, what do you do? I am just thinking, if I can deal with the consequences, than I will start using this trick.

One more thing that I hate - is how slow some people are. I mean, they are walking around, pretending to work. Well, how long does it take to unload you? Why does it have to take so long. What do they do there? I understand they get paid hourly, but, what's the point of keeping the driver?
Ok, I understand couple of hours.
But, WALGREENS in Windsor,WI? Oh, God... was it 12 hours? No, I think more. Thanks God, I was with my girlfriend, and she kept me busy. But, it was too long. And Broker said, I was late, when I actually came earlier. So, couldn't get the detention from him.

MOST places are at least a little bit lenient on tardiness... I think that up to an hour is fair... Being excessively late is another thing....

The one in KC, Kansas has/had signs up saying you unload, you leave, or they will call the cops. I used to have a picture of it.
Needless to say, I will never darken their driveway again.

Aldi is great to deal with from my experience. Nice lots and warehouses and fast and cheap unloads. I'd deliver them all the time if I could...
