So I'm filling out an application. And I'm at the part where it asks me, "Has your license, permit, or privilege to drive ever been suspended or revoked for any reason? [49 CFR 391.21(b)(9)]"
Is this concerning a commercial driver's license, or any driver's license?
How to answer "license ever been suspended" on empl application?

Appreciate Chinatown!
Chinatown Thanks this. -
It says privilege to drive, not privilege to drive commercial vehicles. I had my license suspended 3X and revoked once before I ever had a physical license. Every driving application I ever filled out, that was put into the section asking that question.
rockeee Thanks this. -
Don’t over think it. Just put down the dates and reasons why your whatever license got suspended.
I personally run a 7 year mvr check but plan on a carrier running 10 year check to be safe.

(9) A statement setting forth in detail the facts and circumstances of any denial, revocation, or suspension of any license, permit, or privilege to operate a motor vehicle that has been issued to the applicant, or a statement that no such denial, revocation, or suspension has occurred;
So to me, that reads "any" license held for any motor vehicle. -
Okay. I was just wondering because it was talking about FMCSR's, and all of the other questions were talking about commercial vehicles as well so I wasn't sure. I just didn't want to answer to the wrong thing.

I'll post a screenshot.
