Hey guys, thanks for your advice.

I kept the information to minimal. I let my DM + training coordinator know that I had to take Thursday off, but I'm willing to get there on Tuesday, and work Wed + Friday.

They obliged my request without further questions and even mentioned that they appreciated the heads up before the weekend + quick replies.

    People seem cool so far.
And yeah, I'll try to be a good person and a worker to the company, but keep my priority straight.
You guys are cool. thumbs up :D

    otherhalftw Thanks this.

We gave notice properly when we were moving on without any trouble, gave FFE a clean tractor, probably factory clean by the time we disinfected the thing. The inverter stayed with the tractor for two reasons, Freighliner installed it and it's part of the maintenance history on the truck (Approved by company then) and there were beginning to be truckers issued sleep aids for the apena etc in those days.)

We have not had any trouble getting on to another company when we give two weeks notice and settle up the final pay and move on. Now the ones we quit.. well... those are more of a problem which may or may not require an explanation to recruiters.

If your going to lie tell them something embarrasing about yourself. Say on the last day of your home time you had some bad Mexican food. Your dealing with a major case of diarea and feel like vomiting. Say you don't think you could hold your bowel if you are bouncing up and down in the truck. Exain u need a couple of extra days off. That should do it. Then Don't miss work again for a long time unless you quit.
