At age 55 I had triple cervical fusion C-5 -C-7. Now running Amazon Dedicated I am driving full 11 hour days. Does sitting on high quality pillow or putting one against my back help the body fatigue? Every run is planned by Amazon to utilize full 14 hour day.....or should I just quit? I haven't had any pain since surgery but I never want to experience those months long bouts of agony again. Thx.

Make sure you don't sit on your wallet. knees higher than your hips while sitting behind the wheel. Stop and stretch. Buy a new seat. Or...quit your job and save your back if that's an option.
faux_maestro, austinmike, QuietStorm and 2 others Thank this. -
Tilt your seat forward so you're sitting straight up too. There's ergonomics diagrams online for office chairs. Try to do the same with your driver's seat.

I don't think you can totally eliminate the pain and stiffness that comes from sitting in one position for hours. You can minimize it some by sitting properly!

How many hours/miles do you spend on the drive line in those 14?

It might sound weird.... But have you tried putting a pool noodle behind your back and rolling it back and forth left to right up and down?
I've heard that works for some people. Chiropractors words not mine.faux_maestro Thanks this. -
Oriental massage. Most places have truck parking.

I use a lumbar support on long trips but we slip seat and most of our chairs are trashed.
