beware of ballon payments.if you have only been driving a year you may find it hard to buy a truck.go over the truck with a fine tooth comb,I would ask for oil samples to be done.

Kevin Rutherford just released a book/dvd/workbook package mostly dealing with purchasing a truck.

You can call 855.800.FUEL to inquire about it.

Way to involved of a topic to cover here in any depth. Rutherford would be a good place to start. About half of his stuff is great, the other half is "revenue driven" i.e. advertisers with shaky claims/endorsements.

IMHO , the best way to buy a used truck , is from the O-O who's selling it. You'll still want to do your due diligence , but you know where he's at , and he knows , too.
That said , its not an option for most . Especially if you also need financing.
I can't speak for any Other manufactures , but Paccar has an off-lease program , or did 3 years ago , that worked out well for me.
    I got a 2006 KW , W900L , with 585,000 on it. Someone speced it well. It had a 400 ISX , and 9 speed.
Paccar turned it to a 500 , added the box to make it a 13 speed , and went thru it pretty well.
Price was reasonable , financed it with 10% down , and a 39 month loan , thru Paccar. Payments were $999.00 a month , simple interest. It's been a good truck.
They also had , at that time , $1000.00 in coupons , good for Anything at a KW dealer. I used $600. , to buy a refrigerator , and some minor parts , and then forgot they had an experation date on them. By the time I needed to use them , they had expired ! LOL! Oh, well!
You might check with them. I got mine , at a place in Spartanburg , S.C. They were alright. And , the truck , I deduced , was driven in the Desert Southwest.
No maintaince records were available , and the only warranty work Cummins had on it , was replacing a head gasket.
    Hope this helps.
