I put in for a position as a fedex city apprenticeship. Id like to follow up my application with a phone call. Called the domicile and they couldnt put me on with anyone who can help and I cant find a direct number to their hr department. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you apply recently? They typically reach out to you within a week or two for a preliminary phone screening as long as your application meets the minimum requirements.

The old school method of following up your application with a phone call doesn’t really do anything at this stage.

My buddy and I both applied for same job. He got the offer, I got the denial email. Took them over a month to get back to us. I have a interview with ups as a full time feeder driver on thursday!

most likely they denied you cuz you have no roll over experience.

you'll do MUCH better at UPS anyway's.

Went to interview today for “feeder” driver position.. was actually team driving position. Place has bullshitted me everytime I apply with them. Then she says “team drivers make 35 an hour until the “waiver” is up.. then down to 21 an hour until your 4th year. The REAL feeder positions, she predicts, wont be until I get at least 10 years in. If that’s how it is, then great. But why sell me something, and pull the switcharoo at the last min. All 5 of us walked out saying we thought we were here for feeder driving, not team driving. Everyone was super bummed out and quiet.

A linehaul appenticeship opened up today for fedex and I reallllly want it. Fedex Hr said a sure way to get an interview is find a fedex employee as a reference. How the hey do I do that when the closest domicile is an hour from me. Im gonna start scouting for anyone who will let me use them as a reference. Cdla with doubles triples, tanker & hazmat, no tickets in 15 years, clean background, current dot physical.. thought I had the city apprenticeship in the bag.. apparently 18 people applied for the same city apprenticeship position.

when i applied to UPS as a feeder driver, (a couple decades ago), they did not have any co-driving BS. but, then too, it's a place where "you have to know someone", to get in....much like that FedEx job you speak of.

    BS all around.

i'd say, screw them both, i think you can do better else where's. don't forget too, that UPS, FedEx, even the USPS, MICRO manage everyone...!!!!!

you really wanna deal with THAT BS......????
